The Gothic façade of the Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque rises above a square in the old town of Famagusta (Gazimağusa). The former St Nicholas Cathedral has retained its pointed portals, tracery rose window and stone carvings, while a minaret is attached to the building’s left corner.
