West façade of St Nicholas Cathedral

The main façade of the Gothic cathedral in the old town of Famagusta (Gazimağusa) is decorated with pointed portals, stone carvings and a tall window with openwork tracery. The pale limestone of the walls contrasts with the dark green foliage of trees around the edges of the square.
